Larnaca is a harbor city in the southeast of the island of Cyprus and is the third largest city of the island. There are two areas, the old city center and the eastern part along the beach with its hotels and restaurants, also called Phinikoudes. Larnaca has become a sizable city with a beautiful promenade and an delightful old city area, with many small shops and small hotels.
Larnaca was once the Kingdom of Kition, and one of the most important ancient city-kingdoms. Excavations partly originate from the 13th century BC.

Larnaca has plenty of attractions to offer such as the Archaeological Museum, the Armenian genocide memorial Pieriedes Museum, the Agios Lazaros Church from the 9th century, the remains of the Cyclopean walls and a complex of 5 temples and furthermore the mosque Hala Sultan Tekke.
A popular excursion is the salt lake in Larnaca, thousands of flamingos rest here on their migration in January / February. In July / August, the lake has dried up, leaving a thick salt crust.

Larnaca has many beautiful beaches. Adjacent to the old town or the airport but also on the other side, towards the east, you will find a suitable beach for everyone.
